As per the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Modi will also lay the foundation stone for more than 200 Health Care Infrastructure Projects worth more than Rs 11,500 crore across 23 States and UTs.
After inaugurating one in Jammu last week, during his visit to Gujarat, PM Modi is also set to inaugurate five more All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal) and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh).
Prime Minister Modi laid the groundwork for the establishment of AIIMS Jammu in February 2019 as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
The hospital was built for over Rs 1,660 crore and occupies an area of over 227 acres. It has 720 beds, a medical college with 125 seats, a nursing college with 60 seats, an AYUSH block with 30 beds, faculty and staff housing, undergraduate and graduate student housing, a guest house, an auditorium, a shopping complex among other amenities.

Rajkot: While the Rajkot AIIMS is partially functional, this one is built across 201 acres, Rajkot AIIMS is a hospital with 750 beds, including ICU and super-speciality beds. On February 25, the prime minister will inaugurate 23 operation theatres, 30-bed AYUSH block and 250 beds of IPD. The remaining beds will be made available gradually.
