Allu Arjun has landed in legal trouble! A case has been registered against the ‘Pushpa’ star, and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct during an election campaign. According to this rule, large campaigns are banned 48 hours before the poll starts.
On Saturday, authorities in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, filed charges against Tollywood actor Allu Arjun for his visit to the residence of his friend and YSRCP MLA Silpa Ravi, resulting in a large gathering of thousands of people on the streets. This was a direct violation of the MCC. The MLA purportedly invited the actor from «Pushpa» without obtaining permission from the RO Nandyala for a public gathering.
The case has been registered under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public authority) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).
In a video that has gone viral, the ‘Arya’ actor could be seen greeting and smiling at a huge crowd who was chanting “Pushpa, Pushpa” at him, while campaigning for YSR Congress candidate Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy.
Later, the National Award winning actor took to social media to thank his fans. “Grateful to the people of Nandyal for the warm reception. Thank you, @SilpaRaviReddy garu, for the hospitality. Wishing you the very best in the elections and beyond. You have my unwavering love and support,” he wrote on his X handle.
On the work front, Arjun will resume his iconic role of Pushpa, the labourer turned don in ‘Pushpa: The Rule’.
