Maharashtra, Aaditya Thackeray, a member of the Uddhav Thackeray camp, has predicted significant changes within the government, starting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Thackeray stated that Shinde has been requested to resign, indicating the potential jeopardy to Shinde's position as Chief Minister following the inclusion of Ajit Pawar and eight other NCP MLAs in the state ministry.
Currently, Ajit Pawar shares the Deputy Chief Minister post with BJP's Devendra Fadnavis in the government headed by Eknath Shinde. "I have heard that CM (Eknath Shinde) has been asked to resign and there might be some change (in the government)," Aaditya Thackeray told the media.
Amidst reports of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marginalizing the Eknath Shinde group, Aaditya Thackeray's statements have surfaced. These reports have emerged following the inclusion of Ajit Pawar and his supporters, who had rebelled against the NCP, in the government. A senior leader within Shiv Sena (UBT) has made a claim that approximately 20 MLAs from Eknath Shinde's group have been in contact with their party following Ajit Pawar's entry into the state government.
"Since Ajit Pawar and other NCP leaders joined the government, 17-18 MLAs from the Shinde camp have contacted us," Sanjay Raut said. Despite the developments, Eknath Shinde has affirmed that he has no intention of resigning and maintains that there is no rebellion within the Shiv Sena regarding the NCP rebels.
