Annabeth's story begins with an unconventional arrival at her mortal father's doorstep. Born from the thoughts of the goddess Athena, she was delivered in a golden cradle by Zephyros, the West Wind.
Unprepared for parenthood, Frederick initially asked Athena to take Annabeth back to Olympus. Still, the goddess insisted that mortal parents should raise heroes, not their divine counterparts. Thus, Frederick embraced the responsibility, and Annabeth, also known as the «Brainchild,» adopted her father's last name.
Her childhood, however, was far from ordinary. As a demigod, Annabeth faced constant danger from monsters, leading to conflicts with her mortal parents. At the age of seven, after enduring nightly assaults by spiders, she ran away and found the company of fellow demigods Thalia and Luke. Together, they faced numerous challenges, including encounters with Cyclopes, Hellhounds, and Furies, eventually finding refuge at Camp Half-Blood.
Annabeth spent three years at the camp, communicating with her father through letters and battling monsters. Despite returning home briefly, persistent attacks led her back to the safety of Camp Half-Blood, where she awaited the fulfillment of the Great Prophecy and the arrival of «the one.»
