Apple has opened up its private cloud compute to researchers, offering up to $1 million to anyone who finds a hole in the secure cloud platform that supports its Apple Intelligence features. Put in simple, the company has expanded its bug bounty program. It will offer upto Rs 8 crore to anyone who can hack its new fleet of AI-focused servers meant for Apple Intelligence.
According to a report in Zdnet, Apple recently unveiled a challenge to test the security of the servers that will play a major role in its Apple intelligence services.

The company is offering a massive bug bounty of up to $1 million to anyone who is able to hack its AI cloud, referred to as Private Cloud Compute (PCC). With the Apple gearing up to roll out the first set of features for its AI-driven Apple Intelligence in the next few days, the company has also shifted its focus on security. These new servers will be launched next week.
This comes at a time as Apple Intelligence is about to launch on iphones next week with the arrival of its major point upgrade iOS 18.1. This will include iPhone AI features for the first time, such as enhancements to its voice assistant Siri.
