Neerav Parekh, owner of professional football club Barnsley Football Club in South Yorkshire, England, and his mother Kalpana Parekh have purchased two sea-facing luxury apartments including a duplex on Mumbai’s Worli sea face for a total of Rs 170 crore.
Both Kalpana Parekh and Neerav Parekh are part of promoter group of Pidilite Industries.
The chairman of Barnsley Football Club, which was founded in 1887 and competes in EFL League One, has acquired the duplex on the 23rd and 24th floor of the under-construction super-premium tower Naman Xana himself, while his mother has acquired another apartment on the 22nd floor.
Parekh has paid Rs 105 crore for the duplex spread over a total chargeable area of 10,441 sq ft and his mother has acquired the luxury apartment in this tower on Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road with 7,104 sq ft carpet area for Rs 65 crore.
Neerav Parekh has paid stamp duty of Rs 6.30 crore for the registration of the deal involving the duplex that took place on December 5. The deal for the apartment of Kalpna Parekh attracted stamp duty of Rs 3.25 crore was registered on December 7, showed the documents accessed through realty data analytics platform IndexTap.com.
