According to Subhash’s video, he was subjected to multiple legal cases aimed at extorting money. He also accused his wife’s family of manipulating the legal system to pressure him. «The money I earn is making my enemies stronger,» Subhash said in his video. «That same money will be used to destroy me, and this cycle will keep going.»
His family has since filed a police complaint, alleging that Subhash’s death was the result of abetment by his wife, her relatives, and even a judge. The techie’s heartbreaking death has raised concerns about the misuse of laws meant to protect women and whether similar protections should be extended to men facing harassment.
Kangana Ranaut, BJP MP and vocal critic of what she perceives as «fake feminism,» expressed her shock at the situation, calling Subhash’s story «heartbreaking.» In her statement to PTI, she criticized the misuse of laws like Section 498A (related to dowry harassment), claiming that some women use them to extort money from their husbands. «The entire country is in shock.
