Billy Joel postpones tour dates to recover from surgery; check new concert schedule here
The 75-year-old has been forced to reschedule a total of eight shows since needs time to recover from an undisclosed “medical condition,” Us Weekly magazine reported.
Change in schedule
A statement on Joel's Instagram handle said that his current tour was being postponed by four months to grant time to the singer to «recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors.»
The Uptown Girl crooner is expected to make a full recovery, while the tour is expected to resume at the Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5.
On his behalf, Joel said that though he regrets postponing any shows, «my health must come first.»

Affected concerts
Among the key dates affected include Joel's upcoming events in Toronto, Detroit, Salt Lake City, Syracuse, Milwaukee and Charlotte.
The schedule change also affects his performances in Edinburgh and Liverpool. He was expected to perform at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium on June 21-- the event being one of his two concerts in Europe this year.
Unfortunately, his fans will now have to wait until next year, with Joel now scheduled to appear at the same venue on June 20, 2026. Fans who have purchased tickets for the two shows in Europe will be valid for the rescheduled date.
