BJP on Tuesday announced names of 10 candidates for Rajya Sabha bypolls across eight states. The party has left one seat each in Bihar and Maharashtra for allies.
Union minister of state Ravneet Singh Bittu has been nominated as party candidate from Rajasthan. Another Union minister of state George Kurian has been made the party candidate for the lone seat of Madhya Pradesh. For two seats of Assam, BJP has announced the names of former Union minister Rameswar Teli and former MLA Mission Ranjan Das.
Senior advocate and chairman of Bar Council of India Manan Kumar Mishra has been made the party candidate from Bihar. In Bihar, the BJP has left one seat for ally Upendra Kushwaha who will file nomination on Wednesday.
BJP has nominated Kiran Choudhary for the lone seat in Haryana.
In Odisha, the party has nominated Mamata Mohanta as the candidate.
In Maharashtra, the party has announced former MLA Dhairyasheel Patil as Rajya Sabha candidate. One seat has been left for Ajit Pawar's party.
From Tripura, the party has nominated state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee as the Rajya Sabha candidate.
