During a recent appearance on Dua Lipa's 'At Your Service' podcast, Jennie candidly shared her journey in the K-pop industry, navigating the highs and lows while dealing with the demanding schedule of back-to-back concerts. She touched upon the physical toll of performing in concerts, admitting that compared to her fellow group members, she often faced more injuries. This aspect of her career became a significant source of stress and concern for her. Reflecting on her journey, she expressed feelings of disappointment, stating, «I’ve constantly hurt myself during performances and lives compared to other girls, and it was just a stressful thing in my life.» The pressures Jennie faced extended beyond physical strain. Jennie shared her inner conflict, realising that her true passion lay in singing rather than rapping. She expressed frustration at not having the opportunity to explore her vocal abilities fully during her trainee days. “I’ve never really said this anywhere, but I’ve wanted to. After our debut, we did like six songs where I would just rap like, seriously rap and along the way. I kind of got confused because I came to realise that there’s a big side of me inside that loves to sing, but I actually never had the chance to really explore that as a trainee because I got told that I should be a rapper, you know?" said
