Blue Lock season 2 was revealed on March 25, 2024, to continue its successful run.
Blue Lock has become the most well-known sports anime and viewers are incredibly excited for the sequel. On June 24, 2024, the anime's official website announced that Blue Lock's second season would premiere on October 5, 2024, on Crunchyroll, as quoted in a report by Screen Rant.
The U-20 match, which presents the Blue Lock participants with their greatest obstacle, maybe the best storyline in the series, and it will be adapted this season. Ego Jinpachi needs to gather Blue Lock players to take on the national U-20 team because the Japan Football Association administrators are dubious about the project. If they don't, the project will be closed down altogether. The stakes are higher than ever for him because he has to face off against experts under the tutelage of Itoshi Sae and assemble a well-rounded team out of only strikers.

The staff roster has apparently undergone a few adjustments. Tetsuaki Watanabe will hand off the reins as director to Shintaro Inakawa. Character designs will be handled by Kenji Tanabe, while Jun Munuyama will be back to supervise the music. As the art director, Masakazu Miyake will contribute, and Taku Kishimoto will offer his compositional skills and supervise the script.
