Apple’s latest MacBook Pro is powered by three new M3 generation processors. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro come with M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max configurations. We reviewed the M3 Max-powered 16-inch MacBook Pro with a whopping 48GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
Power, power and more power. The new M3 chips are based on 3nm tech and feature a new GPU architecture. What it delivers is ridiculous speed as you can throw any task at this machine and it won’t break a sweat. The eye-catching new Space Black colour is available in M3 Pro and Max variants.
If you opt for the M3 Max, it starts at `3.19 lakh. Unless you need to put a laptop through a lot of daily grinds — editing videos, photos, music — its pricing puts the laptop out of reach for most buyers. A better idea is to get the 13-inch M3 MacBook Pro for `1.69 lakh instead, which won’t be an overkill in terms of performance and just do fine for a large section of buyers.
It’s the processor. Apple has upped the game with an M3 processor and we didn’t feel any sort of lag even once even while editing videos and images. The claimed 22-hour battery life is another plus and lives up to the hype.
