Starting July 16, prices of tomatoes have been reduced to Rs 80 per kilogram — ten rupees less than before — and are being sold in mobile vans in the Delhi-NCR region, as well as other cities, which were added to the list on Saturday.
Multiple locations in the national capital and the surrounding regions saw tomatoes being sold through the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF). Locations include Delhi, Noida, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Arrah.
Depending on the prevailing market prices in various cities, the discounted tomato sales will be extended to more locations starting from Monday. These are the locations where you can get tomatoes at a discounted price:
