The Request to Draw the Indian Flag
The interview began with theoretical questions about CSS, but things took an unexpected turn when the candidate was asked to create a representation of the Indian flag using CSS. Though she found the task odd, she complied. However, when asked to add spikes to the Ashok Chakra, her frustration grew, and she decided to leave the interview.
The techie expressed her dissatisfaction, noting that she expected advanced, skill-oriented questions more in line with her years of professional experience. «Generally, at this experience level, people ask more real-life scenario-based questions or coding skills to test logical thinking or some advanced concepts. But here this woman asked me to draw the Indian flag using CSS,» she shared on Reddit.
Frustration Leads to Walkout
While the developer initially went along with the task, her patience wore thin when the interviewer insisted on adding details to the Ashok Chakra. «There I lost it. I asked her for reasons for such kind of questions. She said that she wanted to test my knowledge,» the post continued. She ultimately walked out, disappointed with the way the interview was conducted.
