As per a TOI report, the video, which captured a man lying on the roof of a white Maruti Swift car while it was in motion, gained significant attention on various social media platforms due to its daring nature.
The vehicle involved carried a Delhi registration number. The individual performing the stunt, dressed in a yellow t-shirt, can be seen lying on the car's roof while another person operates the vehicle amidst busy traffic.
The 19-second video clip highlights the potentially life-threatening risk posed by such reckless behavior on public roads. Authorities in Noida has identified the car owner as Mahesh Pal, who resides in Delhi.
Subsequently, a challan amounting to Rs 26,000 was issued by the traffic police, citing multiple infractions. These violations included reckless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and contravention of Section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Police officials emphasized that stunts of this nature often involve high speeds, sudden and unpredictable maneuvers, significantly increasing the risk of collisions with other vehicles on the road. Anil Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), told TOI that stringent actions would be taken against individuals engaging in such hazardous stunts on the roads of Noida.
