OpenAI said the API and ChatGPT issue is now resolved, and services have resumed for all users.
Outage tracking website Downdetector received over 3,000 reports from users as of 6 PM about the service not working properly.
OpenAI said on its website around 4 PM that it received multiple error reports from users and is investigating the issue. Soon after this, the company said it has implemented a fix and the services are now back to normal.
This is the latest in a series of outages faced by the Sam Altman-led company. On December 27, ChatGPT experienced widespread disruptions due to glitches on its app. Two weeks before that, OpenAI reported outages not just for ChatGPT, but for its other services including Sora.
