Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has given the green light to the Festival Special Housing Scheme, 2023. This scheme will make available over 32,000 flats of various categories in Dwarka, Loknayakpuram, and Narela for sale.
The decision was made in a meeting of the top decision-making body of the DDA, headed by LG VK Saxena, a TOI report stated.
A senior DDA official announced that, for the first time, the agency will be offering more than 1,100 luxury flats, including penthouses and high-income group (HIG) flats at Dwarka 19B, overlooking the upcoming DDA golf course.
These flats will be up for grabs through an e-auction, with registrations expected to begin in a week.
Additionally, the e-auction will include 316 middle-income group flats in Sector 14, Dwarka, and 647 such flats in Loknayakpuram. For the economically weaker sections, a total of 728 EWS flats in Sector 19 B, Dwarka, 316 low-income group (LIG) flats, 1,008 EWS flats in Sector 14, Dwarka, and 224 EWS flats in Loknayakpuram will be offered through the first-come, first-serve mode.
Moreover, over 28,000 flats in Narela across various categories will also be available.
According to an official, interested buyers can instantly reserve a flat of their choice in their preferred location and floor by paying the booking amount. There is no restriction that applicants should not already own a plot or house in Delhi, enabling individuals to own multiple properties for an improved urban living experience.
The pricing for the flats varies, with EWS flats starting from Rs 11.5 lakh, LIG flats from Rs 23 lakh, MIG flats at Rs 1 crore, HIG flats at Rs 1.4 crore, super HIG flats at Rs 2.5 crore, and penthouses starting from Rs 5 crore.
