“Today, the people of Delhi are excited and at peace. They are excited over the victory, and at peace because they have freed Delhi from Aapda,” Modi said, referring to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which had been in power for the last decade.
“I want to thank every family in Delhi for believing in Modi's guarantee,” he added while addressing party supporters at the celebration at the party office in the national capital.
The prime minister went on to assure the citizens of Delhi that the BJP would reciprocate the love and trust they had shown.
“Delhi has given us immense love, and I assure Delhiites that we will return that love in the form of rapid development. This love is a debt that we will repay with the fast-paced progress of the double-engine government,” he said.
