Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia and other accused till July 26, according to news agency ANI.
Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was due to be released from Tihar jail, after a period of 1.5 years in custody. The Aam Aadmi Party leader was arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation on February 26, 2023, on charges of alleged corruption linked to the Delhi excise policy 2021-2022, following which he resigned from his ministerial position. The Enforcement Directorate had also filed a chargesheet and arrested Sisodia based on an FIR filed by the CBI, a week later.
