Tuesday saw Delhi’s minimum temperature rise to 15.4 degrees Celsius, almost three degrees above normal. The IMD predicts temperatures will remain around 26 degrees Celsius (maximum) and 18 degrees Celsius (minimum) through Thursday. Humidity levels fluctuated between 86 per cent and 59 per cent, contributing to an overall warm February.
The weather shift is not limited to Delhi. Several states are bracing for rain and snowfall. The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Punjab and Haryana may experience strong winds of 30-40 kmph on February 27 and 28. Meanwhile, thunderstorms are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and parts of southern India, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry, from February 27 to March 2.
