As the city braces itself for more winter chill, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating rain showers over the next two days. Early Tuesday morning, residents of Noida and Delhi reported light drizzles, and the IMD has warned of the possibility of smog and shallow fog in the morning hours.
According to the forecast, the sky is expected to remain predominantly cloudy throughout the day, with occasional spells of very light rain or drizzle. There is also a chance of thunderstorms.
This is also a relief to Delhiites from pollution as the AQI in Delhi was recorded at 286 on February 3, 2025, leading to revoking of GRAP-III.
As the day transitions into night, the likelihood of mist or smog developing increases, which will further affect visibility and air quality in Delhi on Tuesday.
