Born in New York in 1980, Kash Patel pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond and earned his law degree from a New York institution, along with a Certificate in International Law from University College London. He has held significant roles in national security, including serving as Chief of Staff to Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller during the previous Trump administration. Patel is also known for his close alignment with former President Donald Trump, having worked as a top aide on the House Intelligence Committee and in various national security positions.
Patel's family traces its roots to Bhadran village in Gujarat's Anand district. Approximately 70 to 80 years ago, his family migrated from Bhadran to Uganda. During the 1970s, amid political upheaval under Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, they relocated to Canada before eventually settling in the United States, where Patel was born. Community records maintained by the Chh Gam Patidar Mandal in Anand document 18 generations of Patel's family history.
