DailyBeast reported that he severely criticized the conservative media which included Fox News and Elon Musk's influence through X (formerly known as Twitter) for spreading misinformation that shaped voter perceptions on critical issues.

Allan Lichtman acknowledged that the US Presidential election was driven by grievances which were largely fueled by false narratives and which eventually distorted voter’s understanding of key topics like jobs and immigration, asserted DailyBeast. Additionally, he also noted that while disinformation affected all demographics, it was particularly impactful in a grievance-driven election context.
In spite of some major pushback from host Chris Cuomo who eventually argued that Democrats underperformed due to misreading voter motivations, Allan Lichtman maintained his stance that disinformation was a significant factor, noted DailyBeast. Looking ahead, Allan Lichtman plans to reassess his ‘13 keys’ system while suggesting that he might need to incorporate new elements into his model to account for the influence of disinformation in shaping US electoral outcomes.
