Francis Ford Coppola is amid a massive controversy as allegations of sexual harassment have emerged against him on the set of 'Megalopolis', which is set for a release at the Cannes Film Festival. According to a 'Variety' report, it was alleged that Coppola was involved in kissing extras on set. However, the executive producer of Megalopolis has defended Coppola claiming that he did kiss some extras on the set but 'in a friendly manner'.
Demetre said that no one objected to Coppola's advances and he received no reports against this behavior. Megalopolis' executive producer is Darren Demetre, who, according to 'Variety' has mentioned that he has been in touch with Coppola's family for more than 30 years and mentioned the fact that the showrunner behind Megalopolis is entirely Coppola who produced and directed this indie film.

According to reports, Coppola financed the project with his own money, amounting to approximately $120 million.
