The International 2023 will be held in Seattle, close to Valve’s headquarters in the US. A total of the best 20 teams in the world will participate in the final round after a long Dota Pro Circuit season with three tours. It will be the first time that The International will take place in the US since 2018. It will return to Seattle which hosted the events between 2012 and 2017.
Valve has announced that The International 2023 will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube and SteamTV.
Valve has said that The International 2023 will kick off on Thursday, October 12 with the group stage. It will be held at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. The multi-purpose indoor stadium has a capacity of 18,300 seats for basketball games and 17,151 for hockey matches. Finals Weekend is scheduled for October 27-29, 2023.

Group Stage (October 12-15):
Phase 1:
20 teams divided into five groups.
Teams play each other in a BO2 match.
The bottom team from each group will be eliminated.
Phase 2:
16 teams to play a head-to-head to determine playoff seeding.
The top 2 teams get paired with either the 3rd or the 4th placed team from the opposite group (A/B and C/D).
Playoffs (October 20-29):
16 teams to play in a double-elimination bracket.
8 teams to begin in the upper bracket, 8 in the lower bracket.
