HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery have released a clip for their upcoming Max projects, featuring new footage from the anticipated sci-fi series, Dune: Prophecy.
The new clip showcases Emily Watson as Valya Harkonnen, a key member of the Harkonnen family. She faces off against the Atreides clan thousands of years later. In the footage, Valya Harkonnen says, «Sacrifices must be made,» while looking into the camera. The reel includes a combat sequence, reflecting the effects seen in the films Dune and Dune: Part Two. It also shows several women who might join the Bene Gesserit sect.
Mark Strong appears briefly as Emperor Javicco Corrino. As the Emperor of the Known Universe, Corrino will engage in a battle for the throne involving the Harkonnens. Alongside Watson and Strong, the cast includes Olivia Williams as Tula Harkonnen, Jodhi May as Empress Natalia, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina as Princess Ynez, and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Mikaela.
