EA Sports introduced a new format and schedule for EA FC Pro 24, an esports tournament for the simulation football franchise. Here's a breakdown of how Pro 24 will operate and the event's timeline.

FC Pro 24 is EA Sports' official esports program for the franchise. This «elite 1v1 competition» will showcase the top virtual football players worldwide. It encompasses a streamlined schedule and three key elements: FC Pro Open, FC Pro Leagues, and the World Championship.

Running from game launch until February, the Pro Open allows players to represent themselves, clubs, or esports clubs. The Pro Open is centered on a series of contests, commencing with FC Pro Open Ladder. During a specific timeframe, individuals can engage in Open Ladder matches against other players in their competitive region. The leading players in each regional ladder will proceed to the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers, vying for an invitation to the Global Qualifier. The qualifier, scheduled for November, will feature a 64-player competition. Players who don't qualify for FC Pro Open can still partake in online regional competitions for rewards and recognition.

Between February and April 2024, League Partner competitions will unfold globally, determining national champions. The 28 players progressing beyond the League partner stage will gain entry to the World Championship.
