Just a few days ago, Sheeran became an internet sensation when he performed Urvashi Urvashi, the iconic song from Kadhalan (known as Premikudu in Telugu), alongside the legendary composer A.R. Rahman. Now, during his latest concert in Bengaluru, he surprised the audience by singing Chuttamalle—his first-ever Telugu performance.
The experience was further elevated when renowned Indian playback singer Shilpa Rao joined him on stage. Their duet captivated the enthusiastic crowd, who sang along in unison, making it a truly electrifying moment. The collaboration quickly spread across social media platforms, with fans expressing admiration for Sheeran’s effort to embrace Indian music and culture. Many were overjoyed to see him venture into Telugu music, especially after his previous attempt at Punjabi songs last year.
Following his performance, Sheeran gave fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at his learning process. He shared a video of himself practicing the Telugu lyrics, with Shilpa Rao acting as his pronunciation coach. Deeply impressed by her vocal talent, he wrote, “I’ve been obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for a while now. It was an absolute honor to share the stage with her tonight and to learn a new language in the process!”
Initially, some social media users questioned the authenticity of the viral footage, speculating that it might have been digitally altered. However, Sheeran’s official social media accounts quickly dispelled any doubts by posting verified clips
