Elon Musk has contributed a large sum to a political organization that is backing former President Donald Trump in the 2024 race. Musk reportedly gave a significant donation to America PAC, a powerful political action committee established in Austin, Texas, in May, according to a 'Bloomberg News' story. On July 15, America PAC is scheduled to release its roster of contributors.
America PAC concentrates on promoting voter registration and early voting, both in-person and by mail. It is situated in the same location as Musk's Tesla headquarters. Voting is crucial to ensuring that America is a country of opportunity and freedom, according to the group's website. Per the New York Times, it has reportedly spent a minimum of $6.6 million assisting Trump's campaign.
Musk has made his largest-ever political contribution with this most recent donation. His biggest gift to the McCarthy Victory Fund was previously $50,000 in 2017. Records from the Federal Election Commission show that he gave more than $35,000 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2011. Despite expressing anti-Biden sentiments, Musk, a US citizen since 2002, has not openly endorsed any contender in the 2024 election, as per the reports of the New York Times.
