What is a GPT Store?
GPT Store is like a mobile application store or marketplace, but for AI applications similar to the popular chatbot ‘ChatGPT’.
In November, OpenAI introduced ‘GPTs’, which enable users to create versions of ChatGPT customised for work or play. With the launch of the GPT Store, OpenAI is making the useful and popular among these discoverable in one place.
“Over 3M (million) GPTs have been created and now you can find the most useful versions of ChatGPT for you,” OpenAI said on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter).
Apart from models made by the ChatGPT team, such as image generator Dall-E, GPT Store includes a variety of ChatGPT-like bots such as one that generates personalised hiking trails, an AI assistant for academic researchers, bots that can tutor you in coding, mathematics or science, and even one that can design a tattoo.
Who can share GPTs in the store?
Any GPT creator can make a customised version of ChatGPT available on the store by saving it in for ‘everyone’ and having their builder profile verified.
