Seema Haider, the Pakistani woman who hit headlines for crossing the border to be with her Indian boyfriend chanting Pakistan Murdabad and Hindustan Zindabad in a viral video. The video was shared by a Twitter user named Advocate Ashutosh J Dubey. Dubey is the head of BJP Maharashtra Social.
In the video, Haider is shown cheering for India, while holding a little child. Sharing the video, Dubey wrote, “BREAKING: Seema Haider raised slogans of Pakistan Murdabad, raised slogans of Hindustan Zindabad.” The clip went viral, gaining more than 29K views and 785 likes.Twiterati had a field day in the comment section. One wrote, “Why is she being treated like a celebrity these days?” Another user called her out for spewing venom against her country of origin.
“Calling murdabad to a country which gave you everything. she is just disgusting to a core. besharmi ki hadd hai,” ranted another Twitter user.
Another remarked that she is on her way to become a “cultural icon.” “ She will become cultural transition icon one day,” they wrote. Another compared her love story to the Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel’s 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar’ which also revolved around a cross-border, interfaith romance. Incidentally, the film's sequel 'Gadar 2' is demolishing box-office records currently.
In another separate video, Haider is seen hoisting the tricolor flag and chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai; (All Hail Mother India), thereby declaring allegiance to her new nation. In the video, she can be seen draped in a saffron-colored veil. She also sports a headband with the words ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ in Hindi.
