Seema Haider, a Pakistani national, a similar tale has emerged, this time involving a woman from Bangladesh. Sonia Akhtar, the woman in question, has made her way to India, specifically Noida, along with her infant son. Her mission: to find her alleged Indian husband, who she claims has deserted her.
Residing in Noida for the past eight days, Sonia Akhtar recounts her story.
She maintains that Saurav Kant Tiwari, a resident of Noida, married her in Bangladesh, and the couple even has a son together. Their union formed against the backdrop of Tiwari's work stint in Bangladesh, leading to a marriage conducted according to Muslim rituals.
The story, however, takes a different turn. Sonia Akhtar asserts that after she conceived their child, Tiwari, having embraced Islam, departed for India with a promise to return once critical matters were attended to.
Disappointingly, he failed to keep his word, and all attempts to reach him via his mobile phones hit a wall of inaccessibility.
Inspired by the Seema Haider incident, Sonia took a decisive step, embarking on a journey to India armed with a visa, driven by the hope of resolving the issue. Upon her arrival in Noida, authorities detained her and placed her in a Sector-62 detention center.
In an effort to mend the situation, the women's cell of the Noida Police Commissionerate intervened, aiming to mediate conversations between Tiwari and Sonia. However, these endeavors yielded minimal results.
Undaunted, Sonia stands firm in her determination.
