Indian Railways for travelling ticketless, a video of a woman who bought a ticket for her goat is going viral on the internet.
In the video, the TTE approaches the woman to check her ticket. With confidence, she informs him that she has already handed over her ticket. Undeterred, the TTE proceeds to examine the ticket and discovers that it lists three passengers.
Perplexed, he inquires about the identities of the other two individuals. In response, the woman affectionately gestures towards a man and, quite endearingly, points to her goat.
The TTE and fellow passengers burst into laughter when the woman reveals that she has purchased a ticket for her goat as well. The ticket collector proudly showcases the ticket to the camera, emphasising the presence of three «passengers.»
This heartwarming encounter has touched the hearts of thousands of viewers on social media.
Many have praised the woman's simplicity and the warm smile with which she engaged with the railway authorities. One user expressed, «A smile is priceless and adorable,» while another pondered, «Why did this feel so good?»
Yet another user added a humorous note, «She seems well-informed about the Railway Ticket Examiner's conduct. When the TTE asked for the goat's ticket, saying in Bengali, 'Chaggol ka ticket dekhi, Chaggol ka ticket nahi hai… Ohh teen ticker banay,' it's evident from the TTE's expression that he missed an opportunity to charge a fare for an unexpected passenger – the goat.»
In contrast, 3.6 crore passengers were caught travelling on wrong tickets or without one in 2022-23.
