Epic Games is preparing to launch Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, requiring temporary downtime for server maintenance. The servers will be taken offline at 2 AM ET (7 AM GMT) on February 21. During this period, players will be unable to access the game or its online services.

While the official downtime is estimated to last around four hours, past updates have sometimes taken longer. If an extension is needed, Epic Games will notify players via their official social media channels.
Once the update is complete, players might experience login queues due to heavy traffic. This is a standard process to manage server load, and the only solution is to wait for access to open up.
The latest season introduces a theme of total lawlessness, featuring high-stakes heists, new weapons, and fresh playable characters. The Battle Pass includes a redesigned Midas, rapper Big Dill, Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero, and anthropomorphic animal characters like a possum and a Doberman.
New locations such as the Gold Mine and Mansion Points of Interest (POIs) add to the chaos, while players can now access moving trains in the game. A range of new weapons is also making its debut, including Meltanite, an electric bat, and a dual-wield shotgun-SMG combo.
