Another trend which becomes visible from these assembly results is that BJP has a better strike rate in retaining the government as compared to Congress.

Though BJP recently failed to retain government in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, if one looks at macro picture across the country, the saffron party has a better record in tackling anti-incumbency than the grand old party.
