digital achievements, such as with Aadhaar, DigiLocker and Unified Payments Interface (UPI), senior officials said.
The digital public infrastructure (DPI), which also includes platforms such as Bhashini, Open Network for Digital Commerce and e-Sanjeevani, developed under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, will also be demonstrated live to the attending delegates, a senior official from the IT ministry said.
More than 1,000 delegates are scheduled to attend the two-day G20 meetings. They can use the money credited to the wallets to buy goods from the stalls at the venue of the summit, another IT ministry official said.
«This will be a nominal sum to showcase the ease with which digital payments can be done in India.
We want the delegates to experience how the power of DPI can be used for the betterment of the lives of common citizens,» the official said.
To help the delegates navigate the summit venue, the location of various events and find all information related to India's G20 presidency, the government has launched a 'G20 India' mobile app, a third official official said. The app has been downloaded close to 25,000 times from Google PlayStore and the Apple app store till now, he said.
The app will harness the prowess of Bhashini, the national language translation mission tool, to give delegates the option to hear the proceedings in their own language, another official said.
The app will also provide a 360-degree virtual tour of the summit room, the lounge, rooms hosting bilateral meets and so on.
