In 1987, Pam barely escaped the Sweet Sixteen Killer, who killed her three friends. Now an adult, Pam warns her daughter Jamie not to go out on Halloween, but Jamie doesn't listen. The Killer returns, taking Pam's life and pursuing Jamie. In a bizarre turn of events, Jamie finds herself transported back to 1987 while fighting the Killer.
With the police doubting her claims, Jamie is determined to save her mother and friends, who head to a deserted cabin. She's racing against time because if she can't return to her own time, she'll be stuck in the past forever. Amidst the chaos, Jamie discovers her mother's past as a «mean girl,» bringing them closer as they fight for survival.
The cast includes Kiernan Shipka as Jamie, Julie Bowen as Pam, Olivia Holt as teen Pam, and supporting actors Randall Park, Lochlyn Munro, Charlie Gillespie, Liana Liberato, Kelcey Mawema, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Anna Diaz, Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar, Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson, Ella Choi, Nathaniel Appiah and Jonathan Potts.
