Amazon Prime Video has greenlit two seasons of 'Hazbin Hotel,' based on Vivienne Medrano's 2019 animated pilot. A24 is the series producer, and Fox's Bento Box Entertainment is handling animation. The first season will premiere in January.
Hazbin Hotel: Plot
The show follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, on a mission to rehabilitate demons and reduce overpopulation in Hell by opening a hotel with hopes that her guests will move to Heaven. Despite skepticism, her partner Vaggie and test subject Angel Dust support her. The Radio Demon assists Charlie in making her dream a reality.
Medrano, known as Vivziepop on YouTube, funded the pilot via Patreon, and it premiered on YouTube in October 2019. A24 committed to the series in August 2020, but it found a home on Prime Video later.
'Hazbin Hotel' joins Prime Video's adult animation line-up, which includes 'Invincible,' 'The Legend of Vox Machina,' and upcoming titles like '#1 Happy Family USA' and 'Batman: Caped Crusader.'

Medrano is the executive producer and director of all episodes. Joel Kuwahara and Dana Tafoya-Cameron are also executive producers, with Scott Greenberg joining as an executive producer for season one.
