Ranveer is now facing severe criticism for making several offensive and inappropriate remarks, igniting a larger discussion about the need for stricter oversight on YouTube-based programs like Latent. Among those weighing in on the controversy, well-known YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, famously known as Flying Beast, voiced his opinion on X (foDigital rmerly Twitter), stating, “Seems like #SamayRaina won’t stop until he gets all of YouTube India canceled.”
In a recent installment of India’s Got Latent, Ranveer put a contestant on the spot with an outrageous and unsettling question regarding their parents. He asked, «Would you rather witness your parents engaging in sexual activity every day or participate once to end it forever?»
While this remark drew loud laughter and applause from Samay and other panelists, it left viewers disgusted. Many netizens have since demanded regulatory intervention for shows like India’s Got Latent, which evade conventional streaming platform restrictions by airing on YouTube. Additionally, Ranveer Allahbadia—who was honored with a National Creator Award last year—is now being criticized for his insensitive comments.
