managing partner of law firm Atlas Law Partners becomes the new managing partner of law firm Luthra & Luthra Law Offices as both firms are amalgamating. With this development, Luthra & Luthra will become 62 partners and 215 counsel firms with operations in four locations. “This amalgamation is set to cement the collective expertise of both firms, offering clients an enhanced range of services, broader geographical reach and deeper industry insight.
We are poised to scale new heights,” said Chawla, also popularly known as Harry. An alumnus of Kurukshetra University from the 1990 batch, Chawla started his career with the law firm Kochhar & Co and later he joined Luthra & Luthra Law Offices in 1995 as a partner of the firm. Subsequently, he was also part of the firms such as Chawla & Co, Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh A.
Shroff & Co., Kochhar & Co and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. In 2016 he started the firm Atlas Law Partners along with Niti Paul. “Rajiv had begun the process of institutionalising the firm, a basis which, I believe to be the best step forward, especially since I have seen Rajiv and Harry share similar visions of growth, value systems and people development,” said Gayatri Luthra, wife of the late founder and managing partner of law firm Luthra & Luthra.
Along with Chawla and Paul, the entire team of seven partners including Ritu Bhalla, Maureen Z. Ralte, Akshit Kapoor, Sidhartha Das and Varun Vaish along with 26 associates will be now a part of Luthra & Luthra. “I see the integrated synergistic strength as bringing more value to the clients and an increased outreach as a full-service law firm through consolidation and leveraging of combined legal talent,” said Ritu Bhalla.
