He delivered a special address at a pre-event roadshow held at Visakhapatnam. Being a precursor to the upcoming Global Maritime India Summit 2023 (GMIS) 2023, the event spotlighted the strategic significance of fostering maritime growth and connectivity in the region.
Sonowal underscored the importance of nurturing both worldwide and local collaborations while driving investments within the maritime sector.
He further added, “India stands poised as the driving force shaping the next chapter in South Asia's maritime history, evolving into the global epicentre of the blue economy. This roadshow signifies not only our profound cultural connections but also our united aspiration to transform the nation into a monumental regional reality.
