heat wave conditions are expected to persist in the plains of worthwest India over the next 4-5 days. Regions such as the Western Himalayan area, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are also likely to experience heat wave conditions during this period. Severe heat waves have been prevalent in many parts of Rajasthan, with isolated pockets in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and the Gujarat region also experiencing similar conditions.
Isolated areas in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and East Madhya Pradesh reported warm night conditions. On Saturday, Phalodi in West Rajasthan recorded the highest maximum temperature in the country at 50.0°C.

Other regions, such as Punjab, East Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, recorded temperatures between 40-44°C. These temperatures were significantly above normal by 4-6°C in many parts of West Rajasthan, some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, and isolated pockets of Punjab, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, East Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and the northeastern states.
