On Saturday, maximum temperatures ranged from 44-49°C in most parts of West Rajasthan and some parts of East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and isolated pockets of Gujarat, Haryana, Telangana, and Marathwada. Other regions, such as Punjab, East Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, recorded temperatures between 40-44°C. These temperatures were significantly above normal by 4-6°C in many parts of West Rajasthan, some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, and isolated pockets of Punjab, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, East Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and the northeastern states.
