
Hiring intent for fresh talent up 6% in H12024: Report
hiring intent in India is up 6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2024, according to the latest Career Outlook Report prepared by TeamLease EdTech, a learning and employability solutions provider.
The fresher hiring intent is at 68% as against 62% in HY1 of 2023. According to the report, hiring intent is a measure that represents the percentage of employers likely to hire fresh graduates during the six-month time period under consideration.

“Employers played the conservative card for some time now; hiring had slowed down amidst global turmoil,” said Shantanu Rooj, chief executive of TeamLease EdTech. “Organisations are more confident about their future paths, which reflects in their high confidence to recruit fresh talent and strengthen their talent pool.”
The top three industries with the highest hiring intent for freshers are ecommerce and technology startups (55%), engineering and infrastructure (53%) and telecommunications (50%).
