Hours after Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin’s phone call, Russia attacks Ukraine with 140 drones
Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday evening.
«On the night of 13th February 2025, the enemy launched 140 Shahed-type kamikaze drones,» the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement on Thursday, adding that they successfully shot down 85.
The air force reported that the Odesa and Kharkiv regions were affected as a result of the enemy attack.
Trump and Putin’s conversation
Russian forces shelled residential buildings in Kherson, injuring two people. They also carried out 10 aerial strikes on communities in the front-line region of Zaporizhzhia, according to regional administrations on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Trump said he had a «lengthy and highly productive phone call» with Putin. He confirmed they agreed to work together on a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine.
