The show, which featured 1,000 participants competing in intense mental and physical challenges, has been a massive success, largely due to its substantial prize pool. Jeff Allen, identified as Player 831, secured just over £10 million, while MrBeast revealed that the total prize distribution throughout the season exceeded £25 million.
However, an influencer with the X handle @Dexerto claimed that the winner of MrBeast’s $10 million ‘Beast Games’ prize will only take home $5.03 million after taxes. MrBeast responded by retweeting the post with a loudly crying face emoji, adding, «Only!»
According to reports, a total of 85 contestants received monetary prizes throughout the competition. The reality series, which premiered in December 2023, quickly became one of Amazon Prime Video’s most-watched shows. It reportedly cost $100 million to produce and featured over 1,000 contestants.
