Open Day is typically organised close to the birth anniversary of the founder, JN Tata, as well as National Science Day. On this day, the campus is open from 9 am to 5 pm for the general public. Everyone is invited to explore the campus and experience exciting demos, exhibitions and experiments, IISc said in a statement.
This year, on Open Day, students and researchers at the institute will showcase their work as well as new and exciting advances in science and engineering, for visiting enthusiasts. Popular lectures, panel discussions, quizzes and competitions will also be held at departments and centres across the campus.
Across the campus, e-rickshaws will be available for easy commuting and help desks located at several points. Visitors, particularly parents and guardians of little children, are requested to take care while walking on the grounds since there is construction going on in a few places. Visitors are also requested to help keep the campus clean and green by making full use of the garbage bins placed everywhere, and by bringing their own water bottles (drinking water refill stations will be available across the campus).
Entry to Open Day is free. Although registration is not mandatory, educational and
