But the field is not clear for the Indian men as they do not have defender Amit Rohidas on their side for the penultimate clash as he has a one match ban in place by the International Hockey Federation.
In their last match on Sunday, India defeated Great Britain to reach the semifinals of the Paris Olympics, despite playing with only 10 players for over 40 minutes. Amit Rohidas received a red card for an apparent intentional attempt to injure British forward Will Calnan by swinging his hockey stick and hitting Calnan's face.

Initially, the on-field referee did not consider it a serious offense, but the decision was upgraded to a red card after a video referral.
The last time India reached a hockey final was in 1980, where it won its last gold medal too. An 8-time Olympic Gold medalist India, is eyeing to break this jinx of 44 years.
