India Post GDS Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive includes vacancies for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak positions. States covered under this recruitment include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Among these, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vacancies, followed by Tamil Nadu.
India Post GDS recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the GDS recruitment must be between 18 and 40 years of age. They should have passed the 10th standard with Mathematics and English as subjects from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates must have knowledge of the local language up to the 10th standard and possess basic computer skills. The ability to ride a bicycle and a means of livelihood are also required.
India Post GDS Selection Process
The selection will be based on a system-generated merit list, eliminating the need for an examination. The merit list will be prepared using the marks obtained in the 10th standard, converted into a percentage up to four decimal places. Shortlisted candidates will have to complete document verification, and if necessary, undergo a basic medical fitness test.
