The AI development project by OpenAI, also known as 'Orion' has been specifically instituted to work on GPT-5 which will be the latest AI model after GPT-4 rocked the market, and sent OpenAI's valuation and popularity simply off the charts. OpenAI is currently aiming to improve its model by training it on enormous quantities of data, but the cost behind all of the activities being undertaken for GPT-5 is yet to be justified by OpenAI, which could lead to some delay in its pre-planned schedule.
GPT-5 is still not able to match the expectations of its predecessors, and competitor pressure from rival organizations could also be a reason for the same, if reports are believed.
