Night Swim which made its debut in the theatres on January 5, 2024, has generated a lot of buzz with its interesting plot and uncanny twists. Based on a short film with a similar name by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McQuire, the supernatural horror drama film is centered around a former baseball player, who moved into a new home with his children and wife only to learn that the swimming pool is ghostly.
McGuire has written and directed Night Swim, and is famously known for his work on short films such as Soon You Will Be Gone, Every House is Haunted, Possibly Eaten. The producers of the film are Jason Blum and James Wan, who earlier partnered on the Insidious film series.
One of the important releases in 2024 in the theatres, Night Swim, features an intrinsically frightening narrative around a swimming pool that is haunted. According to McGuire, the film derived its inspiration from his overactive childhood imagination.
In addition, it was unveiled by Bryce that it has taken him around three years to develop the horror elements of the film since he has the desire to make them appear persuasive on the big screen.
